Elevate Academy is a co-ed, residential treatment program for adolescents, specializing in trauma, mood disorders, adoption and attachment issues, and similar diagnoses. Students in Elevate Academy have faced adverse experiences that have negatively impacted their physical, emotional, and social wellbeing. We strive to build our students' confidence and resiliency, and then empower them to build on those foundations to take charge of a thriving future!Elevate Academy Coaches work directly with our students, as they provide supervised support and mentoring to guide the students in a forward, therapeutic progression. They assist the students to learn how to self-regulate and implement the tools they learn in therapy during daily activities. We will hire a candidate who demonstrates engagement skills, who can be an attuned caregiver, and shows passion and vision to excel!Elevate Academy is part of the parent company, The Heritage Community, located in Provo, UT. And with a fun and supportive team of coworkers, you'll never feel alone in your mission to make a positive impact on the lives of young people.We are currently looking for:Monday, Wednesday, Friday 2:30pm - 10pmTuesday, Thursday, Saturday 2:30pm - 10PMWill also include a Sunday rotation, working one Sunday every four weeks, 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM.Will include one extra shift (determined with manager) during the week to meet full time hours.Knowledge and Abilities:Demonstrated ability to successfully coach and mentor adolescents.Assertiveness to learn and continually enhance knowledge and understanding of neurodiversity and mental health.Good energy and ability to work in all weather conditions.Engaging and empathetic character, with a balance of tenacity and determination.Good problem-solving, decisiveness, and teamwork skills.Proficient in communication and interpersonal relationship skills. Knowledge and Abilities:Aptitude of adolescent development.Demonstrated ability to successfully coach and mentor adolescents.Basic understanding and competency of neurodiversity and other mental health diagnoses. Must also show assertiveness to improve knowledge and competency for efficient job performance.Management and leadership skills - using passion and vision to teach and steward both students and employees.Excellence in innovation and executing plans, knowing how to be attuned to the people and business you serve to weave culture and results.Good energy, with ability to work in all weather conditions.Engaging and empathetic character, with the balance of tenacity and determination.Proficient in communication and interpersonal-relationship skills.Good computer knowledge and professional writing skills.Duties and Responsibilities:Develop close, personal, and emotionally supportive relationships with the students on your home, coaching them in their treatment progression.Be a leader and an example to reliably intercede and successfully mediate any conflicts at hand, or any time a student needs further support and guidance.Implement clinical treatment plans as outlined by the Treatment Team, and assure team members also understand expectations.Participate in a wide variety of activities with the students, encouraging and supporting them to develop the skills associated with the tasks (i.e., sports, bike riding, rock climbing, hiking, swimming, leisure activities and hobbies, etc.).Serve as an assistant to the Home Manager in leadership duties. This includes, but is not limited to, training Coaches on your team, handling operational components of assigned shift, assuring Elevate Academy program components are consistent, and that treatment care objectives are applied in a true, high-quality manner.Consistently touch base with team members, for performance tracking and development, reporting any necessary updates to the Home Manager.Attend weekly Treatment Team meetings, coming prepared to report on the therapeutic progression of the students. Work collaboratively with clinical Therapists and other Treatment Team members to develop strategic goals and objectives for each student.We are committed to providing a safe and secure work environment for all employees.
