Summary of Functions

The coordinator is responsible for organizing and directing personnel on production lines, operating machinery, reviewing work orders, and ensuring all required materials and supplies are available. This role schedules equipment changeovers, performs line clearances, audits completed orders, and supports Packaging team members through training and troubleshooting. Strong communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with management, maintenance, and peers.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

The following duties represent key responsibilities for this position. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed to support departmental and business needs.

• Operate production machinery safely and efficiently.

• Ensure compliance with all Plant, State, and Federal regulations, including OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF.

• Inspect product quality , avoiding the use of damaged or defective materials.

• Package finished product to meet quality standards and customer specifications.

• Verify code dates for accuracy, visibility, and legibility.

• Ensure correct case counts and pallet configurations.

• Follow all quality assurance, food safety, and SQF procedures.

• Adhere to all safety protocols , including proper use of PPE.

• Maintain compliance with the company’s quality system and food safety requirements.

• Perform line clearances and assist with equipment changeovers.

• Audit completed orders for accuracy and compliance.

• Provide support and training to Packaging team members, including troubleshooting assistance.

• Assist with housekeeping duties in the line and clean up after the end of the shift.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Must be able to read and write .

• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers.

• Knowledge of GMP policies preferred.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred.

• Must be able to work overtime as needed.

• Must be available to work any shift, including weekends .

Schedule

• Monday-Friday: 10:00pm-6:00am

Compensation

• Pay Range: $19.00 – $22.00 per hour

• Compensation depends on experience and expertise (DOE).

Organizational Relationships

• This position reports directly to the Production Supervisor .

• This role has no direct reports .

• In the absence of the Line Coordinator, the Production Supervisor will designate a substitute.
