Utility Clerk/Bagger - St. John | STRACK & VAN TIL SUPER MARKETS, INC Summary: Provides prompt, efficient and outstanding customer service. Bags customer's purchases and provides carryout services. Gathers carts from the parking lot and returns them to their proper location in the store. Cleans up miscellaneous spills throughout the store. Cleans restrooms and keeps them well stocked with toilet paper, soap and paper towels. Keeps bag racks full and returns overstock to its proper place. Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities Assists customers Bags groceries Faces merchandise in the store Answers calls for price checks/spills Caries out groceries Cleans general shopping areas Climbs ladders/stair tower to restock and clean Collects and retrieves carts Other duties as assigned Qualifications A positive customer service attitude & pleasant personality Effective memory skills Dependability Ability to follow directions & a strong willingness to learn Normal physical strength to handle up to 20-pound objects, frequently up to 30 lbs lifted 6-8 times per shift; occasional items up to 40 lbs Work Environment Normal exposure to weather and temperature extremes. Employees are required to go outside for carry out services and to retrieve carts.
