Job Title Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR) Job Summary Seeking an experienced Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse for a 13‑week travel assignment in Kansas City, Missouri. This role is based within a dynamic hospital environment, providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for comprehensive patient care throughout the perioperative phase, including pre‑operative assessment, intra‑operative assistance, and post‑operative recovery, ensuring patient safety, maintaining sterile fields, and collaborating effectively with the surgical team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the operating room. Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all equipment is sterile, functional, and readily available. Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures by anticipating needs, maintaining a sterile field, and providing necessary instrumentation. Monitor the patient’s physiological status during surgery, recognizing and responding to changes promptly. Provide post‑operative care and education to patients and their families. Document all aspects of patient care accurately and in a timely manner according to facility policies. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or a compact state. Minimum of 1‑2 years of recent, acute care experience as an Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Preferred Qualifications Not specified.
