Job Description

As an assembler, you will be responsible for putting together automatic safety doors, riveting, sheeting, working with very thin stainless steel, and applying glue. Your role will involve reading measurements accurately and working within the folded department, where you will add adhesive to fabric material and fold fabric according to specifications. This position requires patience and an appreciation for multistep processes.

Responsibilities

• Assemble automatic safety doors using riveting, sheeting, and gluing techniques.

• Read and interpret measurements accurately.

• Work in the folded department, adding adhesive to fabric material and folding fabric according to specifications.

• Handle small pieces with care and precision, demonstrating patience and attention to detail.

• Participate in assembly polyclutch tasks, requiring multistep processes.

• Perform assembler repairs that may involve heavy lifting and working with grease.

• Engage in activities such as buffing, grinding, and using power tools.

• Collaborate effectively within a team environment.

• Take apart and rebuild components, demonstrating mechanical aptitude.

• Assemble Telaflex covers for machines using buffing, grinding, and hand/power tools.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience

• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools

• Ability to read blueprints and measurements accurately

• Mechanical assembly and production skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in general labor

• Familiarity with assembly processes

Work Environment

The work environment includes first shift hours with options for a 4x10 schedule Monday through Thursday or a 4x9 schedule Monday through Thursday plus 4 hours on Friday. Starting times vary between 4:30 AM to 6:30 AM. The role may involve dirty tasks and the use of grease, and requires teamwork and use of power tools.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33280.00 - $33280.00/yr.
