Description:
Diversified Systems is searching for a Senior Dynatrace Engineer to coordinate, design, and secure computer databases to store, track, and maintain a large volume of critical business information while serving as highest advanced-level subject matter expert. Under limited supervision, collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate monitoring, troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, and perform root cause analysis across hybrid, multi-cloud, and microservices architectures for the INET Program.

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring & Observability
  • Configure, maintain, and optimize monitoring solutions using Dynatrace.
  • Enable end-to-end visibility across infrastructure, systems, and applications.
  • Develop dashboards, alerts, and health checks to ensure system health and reliability.
  • Monitor service performance and availability and set alert thresholds to minimize false positives.
• Infrastructure Systems Monitoring
  • Monitor Windows/Linux servers, virtual environments, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Support monitoring of databases, middleware, and network components.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and cloud teams to identify trends and capacity needs.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact production.
• Application Monitoring
  • Use Dynatrace to monitor application performance and transaction flows.
  • Support synthetic monitoring and real user monitoring.
  • Work closely with application teams to ensure comprehensive monitoring coverage.
  • Assist in troubleshooting performance issues at both the application and system level.
• Incident Support
  • Participate in incident response efforts related to performance and availability.
  • Provide monitoring insights during troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Identify and close monitoring gaps.
• Continuous Improvement
  • Enhance monitoring standards and documentation.
  • Recommend improvements to monitoring configurations and alert strategies.
  • Support integration of monitoring tools with IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years in systems engineering, infrastructure support, or monitoring roles required.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Dynatrace or similar APM tools required.
• Knowledge of Windows/Linux servers, virtualized environments (VMware), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) required.
• Basic networking understanding (DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing) required.
• Experience with scripting or automation tools like PowerShell or Bash (preferred) required.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes or container monitoring required.
• Experience with ITIL practices and regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, financial services) required.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills required.
• Effective communication and collaboration across teams required.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset required.
• 5 years of demonstrate ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of staff and management required.
• 5 years of knowledge of Windows/Linux servers, virtualized environments (VMware), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) required.
• 5 years of experience with scripting or automation tools like PowerShell or Bash (preferred) required.
• 5 years of basic networking understanding (DNS, TCP/IP, Load balancing) required.
• 5 years of experience migrating from Dynatrace Managed to SaaS required.
• 5 years of knowledge of recommending baseline monitoring thresholds, KPI's and SLA's required.
• 5 years of familiarity with enterprise log analysis frameworks and tools like Jira or Service Now required.
• 3 years of exposure to AWS Solution Architect Professional Certification (Preferred) required.
