Overview Mar Hill, NC, On‑site, Part‑time, Year‑round. Responsibilities Confidently communicate the story of Hatley Pointe/Smoke & Timber. Work in a manner aligning with our core values of service to one another, our guests, and our community. Greet guests in a friendly and timely manner. Take guests orders and provide recommendations on menu items. Serve food and beverages to guests. Ensure accuracy in order delivery and address any guest concerns or requests. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery. Clear tables and maintain cleanliness in the dining area. Process guest payments and handle cash transactions. Upsell menu items and promote specials to increase sales. Collaborate with other servers and staff to provide exceptional service, aligning with our core values. Qualifications Previous experience in the food industry or customer service preferred. Robust knowledge of spirits, wine, and beer. Basic math skills for handling payments and making change. Knowledge of drink preparation and presentation techniques. Strong hospitality skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively. Sales skills to upsell menu items and promote specials. Familiarity with software systems like (Resy/Square) is a plus.
