Position Summary As an Email Marketing Specialist, you will support the planning, execution, testing, and reporting of email marketing campaigns across multiple client accounts. This role works closely with the Marketing Automation Team, as well as designers, developers, and project managers, to deliver personalized and effective digital communications. The ideal candidate has a foundational understanding of email and digital marketing, hands-on exposure to marketing automation platforms (especially Salesforce Marketing Cloud), and an interest in using and learning AI tools to improve efficiency, personalization, and campaign performance. Key Responsibilities Campaign Execution & Management Build, test, and deploy email campaigns within Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and other marketing automation platforms as needed. Set up recurring, triggered, and dynamic email campaigns with attention to accuracy, branding, and compliance. Conduct detailed QA reviews for rendering, links, dynamic content, mobile optimization, and personalization. Troubleshoot HTML formatting, dynamic content, or segmentation issues as needed with support from senior team members. Automation & Lifecycle Journeys Assist in maintaining journeys and automations (e.g., welcome, re-engagement, nurture series) using SFMC Journey Builder or Automation Studio. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure data accuracy between CRM systems and automation platforms. Analytics & Optimization Track and report on key performance indicators (open, click, conversion, unsubscribe rates). Support setup of A/B tests (e.g., subject lines, send times, content blocks). Summarize insights and recommend basic optimization ideas based on email performance results. Use or assist with AI tools (e.g., Generative AI copy assistants, SFMC Einstein features, subject line optimizers) to draft content, test ideas, and personalize messaging. Contribute creative ideas for using AI to enhance segmentation, timing, or content performance. Partner with design, copywriting, and project management teams to ensure campaigns meet client and brand standards. Assist in documenting campaign processes, QA procedures, and testing outcomes to improve team workflows. Tools & Technologies Marketing Automation/Email Platforms: Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), with exposure to Marketo, HubSpot, or Braze as needed Email Development: HTML/CSS, AMPscript, dynamic content QA & Deliverability: Litmus, Email on Acid Productivity: Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (vlookups, pivot tables) Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field — or equivalent practical experience. Years of Experience 1–3 years of experience in email marketing, marketing automation, or digital marketing Hands-on exposure to at least one marketing automation platform (SFMC preferred) Required Skills Strong understanding of email and digital marketing fundamentals (campaigns, metrics, automation concepts). Working knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar marketing automation platforms. Comfortable working with basic HTML/CSS for email editing and troubleshooting. Interest in using and learning AI tools for marketing automation, personalization, or analytics. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Analytical mindset with curiosity to improve campaign performance through data insights. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally. Preferred Skills Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Certification or progress toward certification. Familiarity with AMPscript, dynamic content, or personalization logic within email platforms. Experience using QA, rendering, or deliverability tools (e.g., Litmus, Email on Acid). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables) and comfort with data-driven tasks.
