Confidential Employer.Job DescriptionManage civil litigation matters through all phases of the case lifecycleDraft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other substantive legal documentsConduct legal research and contribute directly to litigation strategyTake and defend depositionsPrepare clients, witnesses, and experts for hearings, mediations, and trialsAppear in court for hearings, motions, and other proceedingsParticipate in mediations, arbitrations, settlement negotiations, and trial preparationCommunicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnelCollaborate closely with partners on commercial, contract, business, real estate, construction-related, probate, and other complex civil disputesQualifications1+ years of directly relevant civil litigation experienceIllinois Bar admission in good standingExperience with commercial, business, contract, real estate, or complex probate disputes strongly preferredHands-on discovery, motion practice, deposition, and court appearance experienceStrong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skillsSound judgment, professionalism, organization, and client communication skillsAbility to independently manage responsibilities while collaborating effectively with a litigation teamWhy You Will Love Working HereThis is an opportunity to become a stronger litigator, not simply hit a billing target.
