The Staff Accountant will directly contribute to the company’s sustained growth by ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, working with direct visibility to the President. Mission: To ensure the accuracy and timely delivery of financial statements and to support the overall financial health of multiple properties for a growing real estate and investment company. Tech Stack: QuickBooks What You’ll Actually Do Financial Reporting: Prepare and deliver comprehensive monthly financial statements for a portfolio of multiple properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Reconciliation: Perform detailed monthly bank reconciliations to verify financial transactions and maintain precise ledger balances. General Ledger Management: Accurately post general ledger journal entries, supporting the integrity of financial records. Budget Support: Provide assistance in the annual budgeting process and continuously monitor revenue and expense activity. Cash Flow Oversight: Review cash flow regularly to identify any irregular activity or anticipate potential cash needs, alongside monitoring accounts payable and receivable. The Must-Haves Background: Candidates for this early-career position must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding core financial principles and applying them to real-world business operations within the real estate and investment sector. Experience: A minimum of one year of professional experience in an accounting or finance capacity is required. Critical for success in this role is mandatory proficiency with QuickBooks, which will be extensively used for daily accounting tasks and financial management across various properties. Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effectively conveying financial information to the President and other stakeholders, as well as for clear documentation.
