Starting Pay: $18–$22/hour , depending on experience and qualifications. 90-Day Performance Review: Opportunity for a $1.00/hour increase following successful completion of the introductory period. 6-Month Performance Review: Opportunity for an additional $1.00–$2.00/hour increase based on performance, reliability, and demonstrated skills. Monthly Performance Bonuses: Additional earning opportunities based on store performance. Professional Growth: Opportunities to develop advanced pawnbroking skills and potentially take on additional responsibilities as a Senior Pawnbroker or Floating Key Carrier. Work Schedule & Locations This is a full-time, in-person position with a regular five-day workweek split between our Scottsdale and Glendale locations. Scottsdale: Mondays and Saturdays Glendale (85302): Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and one additional weekday Sundays: Closed Occasional schedule adjustments may be necessary based on business needs. Reliable transportation to both locations is required. What You'll Do As a Pawnbroker, no two days are exactly alike! You'll work with a wide variety of merchandise, including gold, silver, jewelry, electronics, tools, musical instruments, and more. You'll help customers obtain short-term loans, shop for great deals, and sell merchandise while learning valuable skills in product evaluation, sales, and customer service. Your responsibilities will include: Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and professional customer service. Evaluate merchandise based on condition, value, and market demand. Assist customers with pawn loans, purchases, and sales. Clearly explain loan terms, payments, and transaction details. Handle cash, payments, and point-of-sale transactions accurately. Help customers find merchandise and recommend products based on their needs. Learn about jewelry, precious metals, electronics, tools, and other merchandise categories. Maintain an organized, clean, and attractive sales floor. Assist with inventory management, merchandising, and product displays. Follow company policies, security procedures, and loss prevention practices. Work collaboratively with coworkers and management to achieve store goals. What We’re Looking For Above all, we’re looking for someone dependable, honest, and eager to learn. Our ideal candidate: Has previous retail sales, customer service, or cash-handling experience. Has strong communication and interpersonal skills. Is comfortable interacting with customers from all walks of life. Takes pride in showing up on time, being prepared, and following through on commitments. Is detail-oriented and comfortable handling money and valuable merchandise. Can multitask and remain organized in a busy retail environment. Enjoys learning new skills and gaining knowledge about different products. Has a positive attitude and works well as part of a team. Is interested in stable, long-term employment. Experience in grocery retail, electronics sales, jewelry, resale, or other high-volume retail environments is especially welcome. Pawnshop experience is a plus but not required. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are also a plus. Additional Requirements Must be at least 21 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Reliable transportation between Scottsdale and Glendale. Availability to work the required five-day schedule, including Saturdays. What We Offer Competitive hourly compensation: $18–$22/hour starting range. Performance-based pay reviews at 90 days and six months. Monthly performance bonus opportunities.
