Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
• Current and active Special Education licensure in Michigan
• Experience working with middle school students preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction aligned with students' IEPs
• Create engaging lesson plans that address diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Communicate regularly with families and guardians about student progress
• Maintain accurate records of student achievement and behaviors
• Support students’ academic, social, and emotional growth within a center-based setting
• Uphold compliance with all state and federal laws regarding special education
