Overview
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) travel assignment in Templeton, California. Start date: 11/09/2026. Duration: 18 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,690–$2,755 per week. Guaranteed hours: 48 per week. Shift: 3x12 Nights (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). Work setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital with a Baby Friendly LDRP unit (Level 1 newborn nursery; no NICU on site).

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods, including emergency situations and circulating for C-sections
- Supervise and delegate care to ancillary personnel within scope of practice
- Demonstrate clinical judgment in managing perinatal emergencies (e.g., crash C-section, precipitous delivery, shoulder dystocia)
- Assess fetal and maternal status, monitor amniotic fluid, vaginal bleeding, and recognize/respond to abnormalities
- Manage pain control during labor and support alternative pain management when appropriate; assist with epidural catheter placement and monitor status
- Educate patients and families across all stages of perinatal and postpartum care; maintain accurate, timely documentation in the medical record

Requirements
- Current RN license in state of practice (CA)
- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course (per policy); AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS; AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS
- Minimum two years of recent Labor & Delivery experience; LDRP model experience
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
- Proficient with EPIC; experience with GE Centricity and Keriton Charting system preferred
- Ability to work in a Baby Friendly LDRP unit with Level 1 newborn nursery (no NICU on site); strong maternal and neonatal stabilization skills; OR scrub experience welcomed
