Job Opportunity – Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours total). Rotating schedule with 4 weeks days/4 weeks nights. Patient ratio 1:1-2.

Highlights:

• Critical care environment treating complex conditions including multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, DKA, and renal/liver failure
• EPIC electronic medical record system utilized throughout facility
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and physical therapy
• Advanced equipment experience including NxStage CRRT, Alaris IV pumps, GE cardiac monitors and ventilators
• Specialized procedures including continuous glucose monitoring and externalized IV pumps for COVID-positive patients
• Floating opportunities to gain diverse experience across multiple units within the organization

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Medical ICU experience required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA certifications only)
• Proficiency in IV starts and telemetry monitoring
• Demonstrated competency with ventilator management and care of ventilated patients
• Experience with continuous IV sedation and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
• Graduation from ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• 2 professional references required (at least 1 from manager/director or formal leadership role)
• Completion of Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous travel nursing experience
• Advanced proficiency in EPIC documentation

Vaccines:

• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• COVID-19 vaccine not required
