Job Opportunity – Progressive Care / Telemetry Registered Nurse – Ohio Start Date: October 19, 2026
Variable shifts with weekend coverage required; patient ratios 3-4:1 for Progressive Care and 4-5:1 for Med/Surg Telemetry; may float to other units as needed
Work in a Surgical Step-Down/Progressive Care environment with bariatric surgery, colorectal surgery, post-surgical overflow, and general medicine patients
Manage telemetry patients with both on-unit and remote monitoring capabilities
Epic EMR system utilized throughout the facility
Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, physical therapy, and more
Care for adult and geriatric patient populations in a progressive care setting
Must successfully pass telemetry test upon hire
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
Valid compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission
Epic EMR experience required
Telemetry monitoring experience required
Core nursing skills: IV starts, peripheral and central line care/management, PICC line management, blood product administration, medication administration, phlebotomy, patient education
Advanced skills: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, titration of insulin drips, PCA management, wound care/wound vac, surgical drains, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, isolation precautions/PPE
Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
charge RN acceptable for second reference

WMC Agency Permit (Most Convenient Option): 24/7 access to Wexner Medical Center Garage with guaranteed availability – $215.20/month or $716.62 per 100-day permit
WB Permit (Budget Option): Weekend/holiday access to 9th Ave East & West Garages; 24/7 access to West Campus surface lots with shuttle service provided to the medical center – $15.67/month
CXS Permit: Weekend/holiday access to 9th Ave East & West Garages; Parking costs and options are subject to change per CampusParc policies.
Ohio fingerprinting process must be completed immediately upon contract signing
Candidates outside Ohio but within driving distance must travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location as soon as possible after booking
Candidates at extreme distances will receive mailed fingerprinting packets to be completed urgently
Pre-approved time off must be requested with submission and built into contract
Local candidates accepted at same rate
