About the Position

Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit RN (Nights) – Ohio

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week, every other weekend required. Float rotation within facility system as needed. 24 hours of orientation provided.

Highlights:

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) focusing on post-surgical patients including bariatric and colorectal surgery, plus general medicine overflow
• Nurse-to-patient ratios maintained at 3-4:1 with all attempts to keep at 3:1
• Epic electronic medical records system
• Telemetry monitoring experience required; must pass facility telemetry competency test
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of progressive care, step-down, or telemetry nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Core clinical skills: telemetry interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, central and peripheral line care, IV insulin and heparin protocols, blood product administration, wound care, PCA management, and non-invasive airway management
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager or director-level supervisor)
