Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week, every other weekend (Friday and Saturday nights). Float required within the health system as needed.

• Progressive Care Unit serving a diverse patient population including oncology, surgical, cardiac, and general medical patients
• Patient census of 34 with 3-4 patient ratios; 44-bed unit capacity
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• 32 hours of orientation provided; 13-week travel assignment
• Specialized unit with unique corrections environment; corrections experience not required
• First-time travelers welcome; candidates with 1 year of experience subject to manager review

• Minimum 1 year of current, acute care experience in PCU, step-down, or telemetry (must be actively working in specialty within the last 12 months)
• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Previous telemetry experience with strong cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills
• Experience with IV insulin protocols and insulin drips
• Skills in isolation precautions, IV management, oxygen administration, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required (at least one must be from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required

• Strict compliance deadline of the Tuesday prior to start date – no exceptions
• Ohio fingerprinting process must be completed urgently upon contract signing
• Candidates within driving distance of Ohio must travel to an in-state fingerprinting location immediately after booking
• Former employees must have been away from the facility for 6 months or more to be eligible
• Current employees are ineligible for travel positions at this location
• Time off must be requested at time of submission and built into contract

Multiple parking permits available with various access levels and pricing structures. Monthly and annual options range from approximately $197-$749 depending on location and access level. Prorated refunds may be available for unused future months on annual permits.
