Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent experience in specialty License: Active Registered Nurse license (State Compact License accepted) Certifications: AHA BLS or Red Cross equivalent Must-Have: - Associated degree in nursing - 1 year of recent experience in Med Surg Telemetry Description: The Trauma Surgical Unit is primarily home to an acute care trauma and surgical patient population. Nurses in this area have a patient ratio of 1:6 and specialize in an interdisciplinary team approach to each patient’s specific needs. Staff members are experts in trauma, orthopedic, and urology patients. This unit provides individualized attention to all patients who are hospitalized for illness, surgery, or testing and observation. Collaboration with physicians and various surgical specialists is highly valued. Nurses must be willing to float to other units and facilities as required. Healthcare professionals may work 36 or 48 hours per week, including every other weekend and holidays as required.
