Role Description The Project Coordinator/Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in San Diego, CA. This position supports project teams with day-to-day administrative and accounting tasks, including maintaining project documentation, organizing contracts and change orders, and tracking critical deadlines. The role assists with project budgeting, coding and processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and helping prepare regular financial reports for project leadership. The Project Coordinator/Accountant also communicates with subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve billing issues, confirm payment status, and ensure accurate records. This role works closely with project managers and the accounting department to support smooth project execution, compliance with company procedures, and timely financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong project coordination skills, including organizing documentation, tracking schedules, and supporting multiple projects simultaneously.
• Foundational accounting skills such as accounts payable/receivable, invoice processing, cost tracking, and basic reconciliations.
• Proficiency with office and construction-related software (e.g., Excel, Word, project management or accounting systems); ability to learn new tools quickly.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with project managers, accounting teams, vendors, and subcontractors.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and a commitment to accuracy and accountability.
• Experience in construction, real estate development, or a related industry is preferred but not required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Ability to work on-site in San Diego, CA and maintain a professional, solution-focused approach in a fast-paced environment.
