Substitute Paraprofessional

The Bellefonte Area School District is seeking a Substitute Paraprofessional to assist in delivering instructional and behavioral support to students across various classroom settings. This role is essential to fostering inclusive learning environments and ensuring students receive the individualized attention they need to succeed. The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility, strong communication skills, and a commitment to supporting both students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Aid student(s) in understanding subject matter while ensuring classroom routines are followed
• Review and implement regular paraprofessional routines, procedures, plans, and objectives
• Establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment
• Provide instructional reinforcement for individual or small groups of students
• Assist teacher with classroom management and general supervision of the students
• Assist with administrative duties such as setting up technology and preparing materials
• Address students' physical, personal, emotional, and academic needs
• Perform other duties as directed by the classroom teacher and administrative staff

Education Requirements:

Minimum: High school diploma or GED

Preferred: Experience

Certifications & Licenses Required: None
