Position Overview


The Bellefonte Area School District is seeking a Substitute Food Service Worker to assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals to students in a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. This support role is essential to promoting student well-being and contributing to the smooth operation of daily food service programs. The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility, attention to detail, and a commitment to food safety and student service.

Key Responsibilities


The Substitute Food Service Worker will:

• Ensure meals are prepared and delivered to students and staff in a clean, safe, and healthy environment
• Performs all duties as assigned by the head cook
• Store, utilize, and dispose of food and supplies in accordance with federal, state, local, and district regulations
• Maintain a safe and clean environment and perform any sanitation duties to properly clean all equipment

Education Requirements

Minimum: High school diploma or GED

• Previous experience in a cafeteria role
