Substitute Van Driver

The Bellefonte Area School District is seeking a substitute van driver to provide student transportation services on an as-needed basis. This role is essential to ensuring timely, secure, and courteous transport for students participating in school programs, activities, and specialized routes. The successful candidate will demonstrate reliability, strong attention to safety protocols, and a commitment to maintaining a positive and respectful environment for all passengers.

Key responsibilities include operating a van over designated routes and transporting students to their destination, performing pre and post-trip safety inspections, performing a child check immediately after each run, providing and maintaining a safe, secure, clean, and healthy environment for students, and performing other duties as requested.

Education requirements include a minimum high school diploma or GED. Certifications and licenses required include a valid PA driver's license.

Application requirements include submitting a cover letter addressed to Dr. Roy Rakszawski, superintendent of schools, along with current employment clearances, copies of degree certificates and transcripts, and Act 168 paperwork, physical exam results, and TB test results.
