IT Desktop SupportThe IT Desktop Support role provides help and expertise across software platforms and computing equipment within the Gaylor technology environment.Position RequirementsPossesses an outgoing, amiable personality, and desire to help othersEffective communication skills, both verbal and writtenKnowledgeable in the Windows desktop environmentMaintains confidentiality of all Company informationExcellent time management skills and ability to multitaskParticipates in an on-call rotation and responds to critical IT incidents and emergency support requests during non-business hours as required.ResponsibilitiesMaintains appropriate records, files, and documentationResponds to support requests and takes necessary steps to resolve problemsDocuments support issues and solutionsRemote problem-solving through use of remote connection toolsDiagnoses Windows and PC hardware and Software issuesLaptop, tablet, cell phone configurations and deploymentsBasic troubleshooting of LAN and connectivity issuesPerforms data migrations and assists in data restorations on local devicesEducationCompTIA A+ preferred; may be obtained within first year of employmentExperiencePrevious desktop support or IT helpdesk experience preferred
