Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Long Term Observation unit position requiring Telemetry/Med-Surg experience and current Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Primarily works on the 3 North Long Term Observation unit
• Floating required to other Med-Surg units (Respiratory, Stroke, Cardiac) and possibly the ED if appropriately skilled
• Day shift schedule (7a-7:30p) for 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• On-call is a rare occurrence

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of current/recent Telemetry/Med-Surg experience required
• Must be able to read Telemetry/BCRA and will be tested on this skill on day one
• Current Epic EMR proficiency required; refresher classes or 1:1 training not accepted as substitutes

Additional Information

• Will be tested on Telemetry/BCRA competency on first day and terminated immediately if unable to pass
• Will be terminated immediately if Epic proficiency is not demonstrated
• Returning Genesis travelers within 9 months may be eligible for alternate start dates; all other candidates must start on the specified date
