CNC Machinist - 50-60 hour Weeks - Monthly Bonuses
Job Description
Join a first-shift machining team as a CNC Machinist, where you will set up and operate CNC lathes, perform precise measurements, and ensure high-quality production of both long and short run parts in a clean, well-equipped machine shop.
Responsibilities

• Set up CNC lathe machines 1-3 times per shift according to job specifications and production requirements.
• Operate CNC lathes to produce parts for both long and short run production while maintaining consistent quality.
• Perform first article inspections using calipers to verify dimensions and ensure parts meet required tolerances.
• Deburr parts as needed to remove sharp edges and burrs, ensuring a clean and finished product.
• Monitor machine performance during production runs and make adjustments to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
• Follow established procedures and work instructions to ensure consistent setup and operation of CNC lathes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area within the machining department.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to address any quality or production issues that arise.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a machine shop setting up and operating CNC lathes.
• Proven ability to perform 1-3 CNC lathe setups per shift.
• Hands-on experience with long and short run production on CNC lathes.
• Proficiency using calipers to perform first article inspections and check parts for quality.
• Ability to read and follow setup instructions and production requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts.
• Capability to deburr parts safely and effectively.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in a high-volume machining environment.
• Comfort working with multiple CNC mills and lathes in a shared department.
• Strong problem-solving skills related to machining and setup adjustments.
• Ability to work independently on assigned machines while contributing to team goals.

Work Environment
This role is based in a very clean machining department equipped with over 100 CNC mills and lathes. You will work on the first shift in a production-focused environment that emphasizes organization, safety, and quality. The facility is designed to support efficient setups and smooth production flow, with access to modern CNC equipment and precision measuring tools such as calipers.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of ANAHEIM, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
