Position is located in San Diego, CA. In this role you will be responsible for generating 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) models of ground equipment and cable routing using vendor-provided and custom CAD data, building 3D COTS WRA assemblies, cable drawings, and rack assemblies, using CATIA V5, and generating and releasing Hardware, Interconnect, and Schematic drawing packages with drawing release through the Teamcenter Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool.Key Responsibilities:Generate 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) models of ground equipment and cable routing using vendor provided and custom CAD data.3D COTS WRA assemblies, cable drawings, and rack assembliesCAD Software: CATIA V5Generate and release Hardware, Interconnect and Schematic drawing packages.Drawing release through Teamcenter Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) toolProvide technical support in the development of formal Change Requests progressing through program review boards.Support customer audits of engineering documentation and system configurations.Provide engineering support for production and development activities including integration of hardware and software.Member of responsible engineers supporting hardware development in Triton labsSupport development of new hardware design recommendations for iterative IFC4 builds.Investigate integration findings, perform audits, hardware installation, hardware failure analysis & replacement.This position requires outstanding written and oral communications skills. Individual will be required to serve as either a principal subject matter focal point between maintenance, design engineering, and test site team - contractor and customer. We are looking for self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented people to help us grow our services and become even better at what we do.*Position may be filled at either level based on qualifications below*Basic Qualification Level 2:Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 2 years of related professional/military experience, OR a Master's degree AND 0 years of related professional/military experience.Basic Qualification for Level 3:Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 5 years of related professional/military experience, OR a Master's degree AND 3 years of related professional/military experience, OR a Ph.D. AND 1 years of related professional/military experience.Basic Qualifications for Both Levels:Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.Ability to obtain and maintain US Government Top Secret clearanceMust have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.Experience generating 3D CAD models for ground support equipment, cable routing, and rack assembliesHands-on experience with CATIA V5 for 3D modeling and draftingExperience creating COTS WRA assemblies, cable drawings, and rack assembly drawingsMust have ability to occasionally work odd shifts including nights and weekends.Preferred Qualifications:3D CAD experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools such as Teamcenter.An active US Government Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)Primary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 - $125,200.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
