High Value Case Manager

The Tone: This is a full-time, on-site role at Morgan & Morgan, P.A. The firm is a leading personal injury law firm with over 6,000 employees, dedicated to protecting millions of Americans against insurance companies, large corporations, or defective goods. Every member of the firm, from attorneys to client support staff, plays a crucial role in the fight for consumer rights. This position is vital for assisting attorneys in developing settlements and managing varied, high-value cases for the people. The TL;DR Role: Full Time Type: Full-time Location: In-person Mission: This person assists attorneys in developing settlements and managing case files from intake to closing, ensuring client needs are met and supporting documentation is complete. Tech Stack: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook What You’ll Actually Do Client Engagement: Interact daily with existing and potential clients via telephone and in-person to provide support and gather necessary information. Case Development: Order and obtain essential medical records and supporting documents from providers and insurance carriers to build and substantiate injury and liability positions. Financial Coordination: Interact with insurance carriers and healthcare providers to secure records, manage account balances, and negotiate deductions of outstanding medical expenses. Settlement & Presentation: Prepare comprehensive demand packages, assemble all supporting documentation for submission to carriers, and present case synopses to attorneys when required. File Management: Maintain highly organized case files and manage the progression of case files from initial intake through to closing, under the direction of an attorney. The Must-Haves Background: Manager-level role focused on high-value cases, requiring a strong understanding of personal injury legal processes and bilingual proficiency in Spanish. Experience: At least 2 years of preferred experience working in a legal position or as an insurance adjuster. Prior experience specifically as a Personal Injury Case Manager is also preferred. Skills: Strong negotiation, writing, and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail. Highly organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage a varied workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision. Extensive computer and database expertise, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with a typing speed of at least 35 wpm.
