Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and client-focused Lead Sales Advisor to join a growing financial services organization. The role is designed for an experienced financial advisor who enjoys meeting prospective clients, building trusted relationships, presenting financial planning recommendations, and converting qualified opportunities into long-term client relationships.

Unlike traditional advisory roles that require significant cold calling, networking, and self-generated prospecting, this position provides qualified appointments through dedicated marketing and lead development teams. Advisors can generally expect approximately 15 20 appointments per week.

The Lead Sales Advisor will work closely with planning and service teams to develop recommendations, guide prospects through the decision-making process, acquire new assets and business, and transition new clients into long-term relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Meet with qualified prospective clients generated through the firm's marketing and lead-development systems.

Build trust and establish new client relationships.

Conduct discovery meetings and detailed fact-finding discussions.

Identify client goals, financial concerns, opportunities, and planning needs.

Present customized financial planning recommendations.

Develop initial retirement, investment, and income planning strategies.

Recommend investment advisory, annuity, insurance, and retirement planning solutions when appropriate.

Acquire new assets under management and insurance business.

Convert qualified prospects into long-term client relationships.

Collaborate with financial planning and service teams to implement recommendations.

Ensure compliance, suitability, documentation, and confidentiality requirements are met.

Maintain established client communication and service standards.

Maintain accurate CRM records, documentation, and workflows.

Meet annual production and business-development objectives.

Participate in ongoing training and professional development.

Must-Have Requirements

3 5+ years of client-facing sales advisory experience in financial planning, wealth management, or a related advisory environment.

Bachelor's degree.

Illinois Life and Health License.

Series 65 or Series 66 with Series 7.

Strong financial-services sales and relationship-building experience.

Strong knowledge of retirement planning concepts.

Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Demonstrated ability to close new business through a consultative sales process.

Ability to build trust with prospective clients.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to maintain accurate CRM records and follow compliance procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

CFP designation.

Experience with investment advisory services.

Experience with retirement income planning.

Experience with insurance and annuity products.

Experience acquiring assets under management.

Previous experience working within a structured lead-generation environment.

Strong understanding of wealth-management sales processes.

Physical Requirements

Ability to work in a professional office environment.

Ability to sit, stand, communicate, and work at a computer for extended periods.

Ability to conduct frequent client meetings and presentations.

Additional Information

This is a Direct Hire opportunity.

The company provides qualified appointments through dedicated marketing and lead-development teams.

Advisors can generally expect approximately 15 20 appointments per week.

The position focuses on advising, relationship building, and business conversion rather than cold prospecting.

PTO begins at 15 paid days annually and increases based on tenure.
