Business Analyst

CornerStone Professional Placement has partnered with a leading organization in its search for a Business Analyst to join a highly collaborative team focused on business process improvement, customer journeys, innovation, and digital initiatives. This is a Contract-to-Hire opportunity for a Business Analyst who enjoys digging into complex business processes, working across departments, and identifying how changes impact customers and operations from end to end. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with Service Blueprinting and/or Journey Mapping and be comfortable facilitating workshops and presenting recommendations to stakeholders ranging from end users to senior leadership. This is not a role for someone who simply gathers requirements and creates diagrams. We are looking for someone who can understand the bigger picture, identify dependencies and downstream impacts, and translate findings into practical recommendations that improve how the organization operates. Location: Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex Responsibilities Analyze business processes, workflows, customer journeys, and operational impacts to identify improvement opportunities. Create and utilize service blueprints and/or journey maps to evaluate customer experiences, employee interactions, handoffs, dependencies, and downstream impacts. Perform process analysis and process mapping across multiple departments and stakeholder groups. Review, organize, and help prioritize project and process-improvement requests based on business and operational needs. Look beyond traditional ROI to evaluate the day-to-day operational impact and overall value of proposed initiatives. Plan and facilitate structured workshops with stakeholders and end users to uncover needs, clarify ambiguity, and drive decisions. Gather and analyze requirements, business needs, and critical information from stakeholders. Identify process inefficiencies, dependencies, organizational impacts, and opportunities for improvement. Develop findings, recommendations, reports, and presentations for stakeholders and senior leadership. Partner closely with project management and cross-functional teams on innovation and digital initiatives. Support UX roadmaps, service design, journey management, and related enterprise initiatives. Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, end users, project teams, and leadership. Share work, findings, and challenges early and often to support a highly collaborative team environment. Help ensure initiatives and solutions meet business requirements and deliver meaningful operational value. Requirements 3+ years of relevant Business Analyst, process improvement, service design, or related experience. Service Blueprinting OR Journey Mapping experience is required. Strong process analysis and process mapping experience. Demonstrated ability to identify operational dependencies and downstream impacts of business changes. Experience planning and facilitating structured stakeholder workshops . Strong requirements gathering, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively when requirements or business needs are initially ambiguous. Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to work with both end users and C-suite/senior leadership . Highly collaborative approach with a willingness to share work in progress, ask questions, and work closely with teammates. Adaptable, inquisitive, and comfortable working across multiple initiatives and stakeholder groups. BA/BS degree required. Preferred Qualifications UX roadmap or broader customer experience/service design experience. Exposure to Lean Portfolio Management, business capabilities, or value streams. Experience working in financial services or another highly regulated/compliance-driven environment is helpful but not required . Basic knowledge of or exposure to AI is a plus. Compensation and Benefits Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire Location: Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex Permanent Base Salary Target: $99,000-$110,000 maximum Bonus: Approximately 5% upon conversion to permanent employment Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package.
