The role sets the strategic direction and priorities for the pillar, manages team capacity and execution, and ensures the work delivers measurable value to the EPO, enterprise programs and senior stakeholders.This leader is accountable for driving a practical and scalable operating model that improves consistency, transparency, control discipline, portfolio data quality and process efficiency across the enterprise portfolio. The Associate Director partners closely with Portfolio Advisory, Governance Execution, Technology, Product, Risk, Finance and Delivery teams to ensure EPO standards and improvement initiatives are not only designed effectively, but adopted consistently and translated into better decisions, reduced administrative burden and stronger execution outcomes.Specific Responsibilities:Lead the Standards, Controls, Data & Continuous Improvement pillar, including setting priorities, managing team capacity, directing execution and ensuring delivery of measurable outcomes.Establish and maintain the pillar roadmap across standards, methodology, controls, reporting, data quality, tools, automation and process improvement.Manage, coach and develop team members, ensuring clear ownership, effective coverage, capability growth and cross-training across pillar responsibilities.Translate EPO strategic objectives into actionable pillar priorities, delivery plans and success measures.Ensure the team delivers practical standards, controls, templates, procedures, playbooks and self-service guidance that improve consistency without adding unnecessary administrative burden.Drive continuous improvement priorities that simplify processes, reduce manual effort, improve user experience and strengthen the operating model.Lead maturity assessments, lessons learned, stakeholder feedback routines and improvement backlog prioritization to ensure the pillar’s work remains aligned to business needs.Own portfolio data quality, reporting standards, taxonomy, common metrics and dashboard improvement priorities in partnership with EPO stakeholders and technology partners.Provide leadership for Planview and related PPM tool operating requirements, enhancement prioritization, adoption planning and value realization in partnership with Technology and Product teams.Ensure standards and control routines are documented, repeatable, auditable and aligned with enterprise policy expectations.Partner with Portfolio Advisory and Governance Execution leaders to improve input quality, governance readiness, decision materials, reporting consistency and enterprise portfolio transparency.Monitor adoption and effectiveness of pillar deliverables, using feedback and metrics to identify where standards, tools, processes or training require refinement.Prepare senior leadership updates, recommendations and progress reporting on process maturity, data quality, tool performance, improvement delivery and operating model effectiveness.Drive a culture of simplification, accountability, continuous improvement and measurable value across the Enterprise Portfolio Office.Leadership Expectations:Champion Inclusion: Embrace individual differences and create an environment of support, belonging and trust. Be bold and challenge to make things better.Qualifications:Minimum of 8 years of related experience in portfolio management, PMO/EPMO, governance, process improvement, business management, strategy execution, controls, reporting, data management, operational excellence or a related discipline.Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.Specific Qualifications:Experience leading or managing a team, pillar, workstream or function responsible for standards, controls, reporting, process improvement, portfolio operations, PMO/EPMO practices or operating model execution.Demonstrated ability to set priorities, manage capacity, direct execution and ensure delivery of measurable value across a portfolio of work.Experience building, leading or improving PMO/EPMO standards, controls, templates, playbooks, procedures, training materials or self-service guidance.Strong understanding of portfolio management practices, governance operating models, reporting routines, control expectations and executive material standards.Experience producing or improving portfolio dashboards, management reporting, metrics, taxonomy, data definitions, data quality routines or executive insights.Demonstrated ability to lead process simplification, maturity improvement, operational excellence or continuous improvement efforts in a complex organization.Experience partnering with technology or product teams on PPM tools, workflow automation, platform enhancements, user requirements, adoption planning or value realization; Planview experience preferred.Ability to translate policy and control expectations into practical, scalable and user-friendly ways of working.Strong executive communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex operating model, data, tooling and process improvement topics into clear recommendations.Demonstrated ability to collaborate across business, technology, risk, finance and delivery teams to drive consistent adoption and measurable improvements.Experience with change management, stakeholder engagement, training, communications and adoption planning.Familiarity with process improvement methodologies, such as Lean, Six Sigma or operational excellence, preferred.The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
