EPL Claims Attorney - Remote Litigation & Resolution Lead

About the Company Our client is a highly respected insurance organization dedicated to delivering exceptional claims handling and legal expertise across complex casualty and management liability lines. They are seeking an experienced Claims Attorney with Employment Practices Liability (EPL) expertise to join their growing claims team. Position Summary The Claims Attorney will be responsible for managing a caseload of Employment Practices Liability claims from inception through resolution. This individual will analyze coverage, evaluate liability and damages exposure, oversee litigation strategy, and work collaboratively with insureds, defense counsel, and internal stakeholders to drive efficient claim outcomes. Compensation $140,000 - $170,000/year (based on experience) Annual bonus potential Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Remote or hybrid flexibility depending on location Career growth opportunities within a collaborative organization Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction 3+ years of experience handling Employment Practices Liability claims and/or employment litigation Strong understanding of EPL coverage, litigation management, and employment law Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple complex claims in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Responsibilities Manage a pending of EPL claims involving allegations such as discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, and related employment matters Analyze insurance coverage and evaluate liability and exposure Develop and execute claim resolution strategies Retain, manage, and provide direction to defense counsel throughout the litigation process Review pleadings, legal filings, settlement demands, and litigation budgets Participate in mediations, settlement negotiations, and claim resolution discussions Maintain timely and accurate claim file documentation Communicate effectively with insureds, brokers, underwriters, and internal leadership Ensure compliance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements
