Posting Text - USD Sanford School of Medicine is seeking a Department Assistant to support multiple departments — including Neurosciences, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pathology, Radiology, and Surgery with emphasis on managing Pillar 2 and 3 medical student clerkships. This position will provide administrative support to the departments and coordinate clinical rotations for medical students which includes maintaining accurate, up-to-date records of various and frequently changing schedules, communicating schedule changes to all necessary parties, and collaborating with both students and faculty.

Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of modern office/clerical procedure and practices. Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities. Experience with office equipment and software including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Zoom along with the ability to quickly learn new technology platforms such as One45 and D2L. Ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with students, residents, faculty, and staff. Experience working in education.

This position offers state health insurance and benefits, which includes a retirement plan with 6% matching, 10 hours of annual leave each month, 9.34 hours of sick leave each month, and 11 paid holidays.
