Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of symptoms related to clients' mood disorders.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that align with clients' specific needs, goals, and preferences, utilizing best practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Support and educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
\n
• Regularly monitor and document client progress and modify treatment plans as necessary, ensuring advancements in therapy are tracked and reflected.

• Facilitate collaboration with psychiatrists and other specialists for comprehensive integrated care tailored to client requirements.

• Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to continuously enhance therapeutic approaches.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential records in compliance with all legal and ethical regulations.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and training opportunities to effectively contribute to shared goals and departmental excellence.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs both within the clinic and in the community, aiming to reduce stigma around mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with clients facing a range of challenges associated with mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Your work will extend to providing support for vulnerable populations such as homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence, making a significant impact on their recovery journeys. A key goal is to empower these clients through compassionate therapy and individualized support.

Qualifications\n

• Must hold a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) .

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.
