Senior Commissioning Engineer

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Coordination of the electrical installationCoordination between project management, engineering and senior site managementEnsuring conformity to standards and specificationsSupport processing customer bulletins and field ordersManage all subcontractors on siteParticipate in and support all safety and quality programsSupervise and monitor site clean-up activitiesResolution of minor installation coordination and engineering problemsIssue and monitor contractor punch lists for contract completionParticipate in start-up and extend support as requiredOrganize and attend meetings as required and issue minutesCoordinate the documentation required for subcontractor equipment test and handoverCommunicate and provide subcontractor equipment information to commissioning personnelGenerate change requests as neededConduct site coordination meetings (internal and subcontractors)Conduct “pre job” walk through with trade’s council to deal with any demarcation issuesProvide commissioning for projects and productsConduct equipment start-up and debugVerify hardwired installationDebug controls hardware and softwareRecord baseline dataMark up drawing changesProject performance and data collectionGenerate reports as neededProvide standby and customer supportWork as part of a team on major projects or individually on smaller projectsQualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent too.Solid technical training (master craftsman, technician in the field of electrical installation or comparable)Knowledge and experience in the field of electrical production / installationExperience in the installation of electrical equipment of machines and plantsExperience in the installation of power distribution systems and heavy-duty stationsExperience in installation and measurements of networks (e.g. Ethernet, Profinet)Experienced in handling valid EN/US guidelines and standards (e.g. EN60204-1, UL508A, NEC, NFPA)Extensive travel required (90%)3+ years of supervisory experience requiredLabor and union relations skillsWorking knowledge of OSHA regulations (30 hour certified)Able to read and interpret engineering drawingsProficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPointDürr Systems, LLC has been present in the United States since 1970 and operates multiple locations across the United States, including facilities in Michigan and Wisconsin.
