Security Access Manager- Operations

Job Title: Security Access Manager Location: IAH Airport Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 per year Reports to: Airport Director Role Overview: An OTG Security Access Manager is responsible for overseeing and administering the applications and verification documents required to promptly satisfy the Houston Airport System’s requirements for an airport badge. This role interfaces with the Airport authorities, the employees, airport management, and the HR department to keep track of all terminal employees’ badge status and ensure process compliance. Responsibilities: Schedule monthly in‑house audits. Schedule all Security classes for newly hired crewmembers, managers, and executives. Provide oral and written instructions to newly hired crewmembers regarding Security Identification Display Areas (SIDA) and fingerprinting process, including personal identification requirements. Communicate clearly to each newly hired crewmember the steps required on the Port Authority fingerprinting application. Record and maintain accurate badge data for the airport authority daily, weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly audits. Ensure that all OTG‑issued security badges are returned to the Port Authority at the point a crewmember resigns or is involuntarily terminated. Act as a liaison between OTG Management and airport authority stakeholders regarding security‑related policies and procedures. Track and communicate the progression of newly hired crewmembers and managers through the badging process and report their status to the Management team on a weekly basis. Communicate “badge ready” notifications to all managers and team leaders, and prepare “badge ready” letters. Notify HR of issues and expiration dates of all new badges to ensure tracking data in HRB. Qualifications and Requirements: Airport experience a plus. Process oriented. System execution. Strong written and oral communication skills. Extremely detail‑oriented. 3+ years’ experience in administrative duties. Able to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Sound decision‑making skills. Ability to plan and prioritize. Excellent follow‑up and tracking skills. Excellent MS Excel skills. Impeccable internal and external customer service skills.
