Your background in special education, particularly with Reading Language Arts and Math, will be invaluable in empowering students to reach their fullest potential.

What we’re seeking:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education (K-12)
• Proven experience teaching Math and ELA/RLA in a special education setting
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Compassionate, student-centered approach
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Flexibility and resourcefulness to adapt to various learning styles and needs

In this position, your core responsibilities will include:

• Designing and modifying lesson plans for students with diverse learning profiles
• Managing a caseload of 10-12 students, monitoring progress and adjusting interventions as needed
• Collaborating with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with state guidelines
• Employing creative teaching and classroom management techniques to foster a supportive learning environment

This contract runs from ASAP through the end of the school year, with a commitment of 30-32 hours per week. You’ll have the fulfilling experience of witnessing your impact on students’ academic journey.
