This contract opportunity provides the chance to work with approximately 24 students, fostering both academic and personal growth in a diverse classroom setting.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Texas Special Education Teacher Certification required
- Experience or strong interest in inclusion-based instruction
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and team members
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of various learners
- Commitment to upholding high educational standards and promoting a positive class environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers
- Provide direct instruction and tailored support within inclusion classrooms across grades K-8
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school guidelines
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student goals, achievements, and challenges
- Contribute to a supportive and collaborative school culture
This contract position starts as soon as possible and continues through May 21, 2027, offering stability for those seeking a longer-term assignment. The schedule consists of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Compensation ranges from $32 to $38 per hour, with weekly pay provided.
