This full-time contract position focuses on supporting 7th and 8th-grade learners in a rewarding educational setting near Schertz, TX. Help empower students to reach their full potential while collaborating with a dedicated team of professionals.
Key Requirements:
- Valid Generalist Certification is essential
- Experience working as a Special Education Teacher, preferably within a school environment
- Comfortable managing a caseload of approximately 25 students
- Strong skills in developing and implementing IEPs
- Effective communication with students, families, and staff
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere
Your Role Will Include:
- Delivering tailored instruction to address diverse learning needs in 7th and 8th grades
- Collaborating with general education teachers and specialists to coordinate support
- Managing all aspects of the special education process, including documentation and case management for around 25 students
- Maintaining regular communication with parents and guardians
- Utilizing data-driven strategies to monitor student progress and adjust interventions
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant state and federal special education guidelines
