About the Role

The Strategic Sales Representative will develop new business, manage customer relationships, identify growth opportunities, and work closely with engineering and production teams to recommend solutions that meet customer requirements. We are looking for a candidate who is a consultative salesperson that is comfortable speaking with both commercial decision-makers and technical stakeholders and can understand customer specifications, applications, and manufacturing requirements.

What You'll Do

Strategic Sales & Business Development

• Develop and deliver customized proposals, quotes, and pricing
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities
• Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline
• Identify high-potential industries, markets, and customer segments
• Conduct consultative conversations with prospects and decision-makers
• Develop strategies to expand existing customer relationships
• Collaborate with the sales team to achieve revenue goals
• Support marketing initiatives that contribute to sales objectives

Customer Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
• Maintain accurate customer and prospect information in CRM/ERP systems
• Document sales activities, customer interactions, opportunities, and forecasts
• Follow up consistently with prospects and customers
• Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions
• Build long-term relationships with key customer accounts

Technical & Manufacturing Collaboration

• Interpret customer specifications, technical drawings, prints, and requirements
• Work with engineering, production, and quality teams to evaluate customer applications
• Help determine whether proposed solutions are manufacturable and cost-effective
• Support customers and internal teams with technical questions
• Recommend appropriate materials, products, and manufacturing solutions
• Coordinate with internal teams throughout the product lifecycle
• Help ensure customer expectations are aligned with manufacturing capabilities

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in sales, account management, technical sales, business development, or manufacturing-related customer-facing roles
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field preferred
• Experience with consultative selling and business development
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into solutions
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and application requirements
• Comfortable using precision measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures
• Ability to perform basic mathematical conversions and measurements
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities effectively
• Willingness to travel as needed
• Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment screening
