Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, windows, restrooms, offices, and common areas using various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
• Handle chemical agents safely while performing sanitation tasks, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures.
• Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, and equipment following safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
• Maintain cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal on a scheduled basis.
• Operate custodial equipment including floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and other cleaning tools to ensure optimal results.
• Follow safety protocols consistently during all cleaning activities to promote a secure work environment.
• Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks such as painting touch-ups or light repairs when needed.
• Support industrial cleaning projects or specialized custodial tasks requiring attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to cleaning requests or concerns from staff or visitors.

Qualifications

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and custodial equipment operation.
• Familiarity with chemical agent handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning supplies.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safe lifting practices.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following safety protocols diligently.
• Physical stamina required for standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout shifts.
