Senior Full Stack Software Developer

Job Summary:

The Senior Full Stack Software Developer will lead the design, development, and deployment of large-scale production business applications using Java for backend and Angular for frontend development. This role involves reverse engineering and re-platforming existing logic, delivering end-to-end full stack solutions, and working within an Agile environment. The developer will also be responsible for API development, database management, and supporting deployments in a Microsoft Azure environment. Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain large-scale business applications using Java and Angular frameworks.
• Reverse engineer and re-platform existing reporting and query logic into modern applications.
• Design, build, and document RESTful API services.
• Deploy and support applications in Microsoft Azure environments.
• Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams to deliver software solutions on time.
• Take ownership of solution architecture and delivery timelines with minimal supervision.
• Work closely with business teams to understand priorities and deliver business value.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• 8+ years of experience in backend/API development using Java.
• 5+ years of experience with Angular or comparable modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
• Strong experience with relational databases, SQL, and report/query logic migration.
• Proven ability to design and develop REST API services.
• Experience deploying applications in Microsoft Azure and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps).
• 5+ years working in Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience working within the Ontario Public Service (OPS) or broader public sector IT environment.
• Knowledge of Ontario Digital Service standards.
• Experience with business intelligence tools such as WebFOCUS or equivalents.
