Occupational Therapy Assistant and Occpational Therapist

Job Description We are Looking for a therapist who is willing to work in clinic setting, willing to clients in daycare setting, school settings or home if applicable. We are looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented individual to support our team. Someone who preferably is bilingual based in the community that we work in. Someone who is familiarized with electronic documentation or is a fast learner and willing to learn how to use documentation system (Clinic Source). Responsibilities will include having soap notes documented within 48 hours, administering treatment to patients, managing patient records and documentation, and helping patients regain skills that may have been lost. Treating therapist will work within the framework of our policies and procedures to create a welcoming, dynamic and encouraging work environment. Job Requirements Florida OT License Background Check CPR Knowledgeable in electronic soap notes Flexible hours Independent Contractor ID (purpose for visiting schools) Experience working with children with various age groups Bilingual: English/Spanish Level II finger printing background Adapts in a positive and productive manner to changes Handles unexpected situations and changes in direction calmly and with confidence. Client and family centered Incorporates sensory integrated, creative and fun therapy sessions. Able to work in various settings independent clinic, client home, daycare and schools. Paperwork and documents required Up to date certified occupational therapy assistant license Liability insurance Background check level 2 CPR School contract license for Florida schools (if you don’t have we can help you obtain it) Responsibilities for COTAs Assist licensed occupational therapist with the treatment of patients and conduct initial patient evaluations. Assess, screen clients, plan, and implement therapeutic treatment for patients; provide patient follow-up care. Interact with patients, families and other healthcare staff through friendly and caring relationships and educate on home exercise programs. Responsibilities for OTRs Familiarized with developing evaluations and documenting. Familiarized with using various evaluations and creating plan of care.
