They are responsible to ensure a project is executed with excellence as well as meets all design requirements laid out in the scope of work. This is done through working with the team in checking, documenting, configuring and programming audio video and network equipment throughout its installation process. The Field Engineer is the technical liaison with the client to obtain sign off and train at the end of each project.Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:Be the technical expert in the quality control process of each project.Interface & maintain ongoing dialogue for projects with Project management, Clients, Sales, CAD, and Tech Ops team members Ensure well executed system installation through detailed documentation, including but not limited to:Review and mark up of AutoCAD drawingsIP and network documentationSystem commissioning documentationI Identify and confirm all cabling and hardware is installed and functioning correctlyDirect technical teams on installation challengesProject manager liaison for engineering inquiresAssist and perform ongoing technical assessment and support for tech ops during integration, install, & commissioningMeet with vendors/prospective vendors to help evaluate productsCommissioning Commercial Audio Video, Lighting, shades, and security systemsOther duties assigned as neededAbout the Guitar Center CompanyThe Guitar Center Company embodies the world of creativity and music by encouraging our teammates to find their own individual sound. AVDG and GCPro headline the enterprise audio-visual integration business, delivering a best-in-class commercial and residential customer experience.Job RequirementsTo join our band, you'll need the following experience:2+ years’ experience in AV systems designFormal education in Electronics or related field preferredMust be able to interpret and mark up construction and technical drawingsExperience working with clients in a professional mannerMust be able to effectively explain technical concepts to non-technical usersHighly skilled in oral and written communication – clear, direct, detailed.Independent work ethic highly motivated to getting a job done rightA thorough, demonstrable understanding of systems integration techniques MS Office – able to use Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access proficiently without trainingMust be proficient in configuring and programming AV , lighting and home networking systemsTravel Requirements:Travel may be required dependent on business needsPay Rate:$110,000 - $120,000/year depending on background and experience.
