Position: Assistant Controller
\nLocation: Princeton, NJ (Fully In-Office)
\nSalary: $160k – $175k
\n \nMedical Device company seeks an Assistant Controller to join their Team!
\n \nPosition Summary
\nThe Assistant Controller will support the Company's accounting, financial reporting, SEC compliance, and cash management functions. This role will assist with the monthly close process, preparation of SEC filings, financial statement reporting, treasury activities, and internal controls while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and public company requirements.
\n \nResponsibilities

- Oversee general ledger accounting, including payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, and general ledger. \n
- Lead the monthly global close process, including consolidation, account reconciliations, and financial analysis. \n
- Support the preparation and review of Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, proxy statements, and other SEC filings. \n
- Coordinate quarterly disclosure schedules and supporting documentation for external reporting. \n
- Partner with the Corporate Controller on budgeting and forecasting. \n
- Serve as the primary contact for external auditors. \n
- Lead the design, documentation, testing, and continuous improvement of internal controls over financial reporting (SOX). \n
- Monitor compliance with corporate accounting policies. \n
- Serve as the Finance business lead and subject matter expert for the Company's ERP platform and related financial systems. \n
- Lead ERP implementations, upgrades, enhancements, integrations, and process automation initiatives. \n
- Partner with IT and business stakeholders to define system requirements and optimize financial workflows. \n
- Evaluate and implement technology solutions that improve efficiency and scalability. \n
- Develop standardized reporting tools and dashboards. \n
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives. \n
Qualifications
\n- \n
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance \n
- CPA preferred \n
- 3–7 years of SEC/ public company reporting (10-K,10-Q, 8-K etc.) \n
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and financial statement preparation \n
- Strong Microsoft Excel and ERP system skills \n
- Medical device, healthcare, life sciences, or manufacturing industry background \n
