We are looking for a Schedule Coordinator to support our SJE Revere brand. This is an onsite role and will work from our Birmingham, Alabama office location. The job: The Schedule Coordinator plays a central role in turning project plans into coordinated, actionable work. By developing, maintaining, and communicating accurate schedules, this position helps teams understand what needs to happen, when it needs to happen, and how current conditions may affect project execution. Working closely with Production Management, Project Management, Engineering, Purchasing, Testing, Shipping, and other departments, the Project Schedule Coordinator provides the visibility and coordination needed to keep projects moving. The role helps identify constraints early, clarify priorities, connect dependencies between departments, and support timely decisions when plans change. A primary focus of the position is maintaining reliable project and scheduling information within IFS ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and developing project schedules using Microsoft Project and other scheduling tools. Through accurate data, meaningful schedule updates, and proactive communication, the position helps improve resource planning, production flow, material coordination, testing readiness, shipment planning, and on-time delivery. The skills you need: To succeed in this role, you will: Project & Production Scheduling Develop, maintain, and update schedules for active and upcoming projects. Coordinate schedule information with Project Management and Production Management. Maintain key project milestones including engineering releases, production activities, testing, shipment, and delivery. Monitor schedule progress and identify potential conflicts, constraints, or delays. Compare planned activities against actual progress. Assist with evaluating schedule changes and their potential impact on other projects. Develop and maintain schedules using IFS or similar project scheduling software. Maintain Gantt charts, milestone schedules, and project forecasts. IFS ERP & Project Data Maintain accurate scheduling and project information within IFS ERP . Review project, work order, material, labor, and schedule information within IFS. Assist with maintaining accurate planned and actual dates. Utilize IFS information to support project and production planning. Identify missing or inconsistent information that could affect project schedules. Assist with reports used to evaluate project status, capacity, material availability, and schedule performance. Schedule & Resource Coordination Assist with evaluating current and future workload. Maintain visibility of scheduled workload and upcoming resource requirements. Identify potential scheduling or resource conflicts. Assist with evaluating the impact of material delays, engineering changes, and changing project priorities. Provide schedule information to support management planning and decision-making. Cross-Functional Coordination Coordinate schedule-related information between Project Management, Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Testing, and Shipping. Monitor material and engineering milestones that could affect project schedules. Participate in project and scheduling meetings as required. Track schedule-related action items and follow up with appropriate departments. Communicate potential schedule concerns to the appropriate management team. Education, Experience and Ability Requirements: Experience in project scheduling, production scheduling, project controls, manufacturing planning, or project coordination. IFS ERP experience strongly preferred. Experience with comparable ERP/MRP systems may be considered. Proficiency with Microsoft Project or similar project scheduling software. Experience developing and maintaining Gantt schedules and project milestones. Understanding of project scheduling, production capacity, material requirements, and resource planning. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to coordinate multiple projects and changing priorities simultaneously. Role Objective The Project Schedule Coordinator will improve project execution by creating dependable schedules, maintaining accurate project information, and giving teams earlier visibility into progress, dependencies, constraints, and emerging risks. Through day-to-day coordination and proactive schedule management, the position will help teams align priorities, respond effectively to changes, and make informed decisions that protect project flow and delivery commitments. The role will also influence how projects are planned and executed by identifying opportunities to improve coordination, resource utilization, information quality, and accountability across departments. From initial planning through production, testing, shipment, and delivery, the Project Schedule Coordinator will help establish a clearer, more connected, and more predictable path for moving projects forward.
