- # Personnel Support Specialist - Criminal Background Check TeamApplylocations: San Antonio, TXtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: REQ-028860It's a great feeling to work for a company that does so much good for others around the world!**Academic Req:** Required – High school diploma, some college; Preferred – Bachelor’s or undergraduate degree from an accredited program/university **Certifications**: First aid, CPR, Emergency behavior intervention**Work experience:** Required – Four (4) to six (6) years of related experience and/or training; preferred – Six (6) plus years of related experience and/or training**Critical Action Items & Measurable Deliverables:**1. Meet all Federal and State regulatory guidelines and standards that are applicable to this position. 2. Provide timely and accurate records and data to the Compass Connections Executive Director. 3. The CBCT must promptly report all security incidents to their chain of command. 4. Report any violations of background check standards process to chain of command immediately for reporting and resolution. 5. Participate in scheduled meetings, in-service trainings, and team decisions. 6. Work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed or requested by position supervisor. 7. Maintain Compass Connections professional and ethical standards of conduct as outlined in Compass Connections employee handbook including demonstrating respect for agency staff, children, and community members and comply with required dress code at all times.**Other Responsibilities:**1. Ensure that criminal history information received from the our federal partners or other sources is used only for legislatively authorized purposes and not to be disseminated to a person not authorized to receive the information. 2. Maintain full confidentiality of personnel needs, issues, and concerns at all times. 3. Ensure maintenance and secure storage of all records. 4. Provide guidance to program Personnel Support Admin staff on out of state CA/N check requests. 5. Abide by Information Security Standards. 6. Participate in Security Audits. 7. Be familiar with the company policy regarding background check requirements for employment. 8. Complete enhanced training on specific responsibilities related to the background check process and ongoing compliance. 9. Complete Security Awareness Training. 10. Promptly report all security incidents to Chain of Command. 11. Work irregular days/hours, including nights, holidays, and weekends, depending on needs. 12. Frequently transverse from one location to another. 13. Meet all deadlines required by program supervisor and Federal partners.**Requirements:**1. Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment. 2. Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request. 3. Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background checks. 4. Demonstrate the ability to: a. Respond sensitively and competently to the service population’s cultural and socio-economic characteristics. b. Work collaboratively with other staff members, service providers and professionals. c. Work in a fast-paced environment and maintain emotional control and professional composure at all times. d. Organize and prioritize responsibilities and duties efficiently. e. Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position. f. Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team. 5. Demonstrate a working knowledge of all Compass Connections policies and procedures.Compass Connections is committed to following immunization recommendations produced by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
