Logistics CoordinatorThe Logistics Coordinator is responsible for supporting daily transportation and distribution operations to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant product movement. This role manages shipment execution, carrier coordination, and issue resolution while also assisting with retail chargebacks and freight claims. The position requires strong operational follow-through, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams, carriers, and warehouses.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Transportation & Daily OperationsCoordinate daily outbound and inbound shipments across FTL, LTL, and parcel carriersCommunicate with carriers, warehouses, and internal teams to ensure on-time pickups and deliveriesTrack shipments, proactively identify delays or issues, and take corrective actionPrepare and review shipping documents including BOLs, PODs, and invoicesMaintain accurate shipment data in systems, ERP, and retailer portalsRetail Chargeback SupportMonitor, analyze, and research retailer chargebacks related to routing compliance, late delivery, shortages, or documentation errorsDispute invalid chargebacks by gathering supporting documentation (PODs, BOLs, carrier confirmations, retailer guidelines)Work cross-functionally with warehouse, customer service, and transportation teams to prevent recurring chargebacksTrack chargeback trends and assist with root-cause analysis and process improvementsFreight Claims SupportFile, track, and resolve freight claims related to loss, damage, or shortageCoordinate with carriers, warehouses, and customers to collect claim documentationEnsure claims are submitted within carrier and regulatory timelinesManage claim status through resolution and recoveryMaintain organized records for audits and reportingCarrier & Vendor CoordinationCommunicate daily with carriers regarding scheduling, service issues, and shipment exceptionsSupport carrier compliance with retailer routing guides and shipping requirementsAssist with carrier performance tracking and service issue documentationRequired Qualification:Years of EducationBachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent degree and 3 years of relevant business experience OR High School diploma/GED and 3 years of relevant business experience; in logistics, supply chain management, and/or project managementWork Experience2–4 years of hands-on experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operationsDemonstrated experience handling day-to-day shipment execution and coordinationDirect experience with retail chargebacks and freight claims (researching, disputing, filing, and tracking)Experience working with carriers, warehouses, and retailer compliance or routing guidesKnowledge and SkillsExperience in delivery and evaluation of transportation carrier managementProactive and have the ability to work well independently as well as in a team environmentWork well with cross functional teamsStrong ownership and organization skillsProven skills with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint in order to successfully execute projectsExperience coordinating with 3PLs, brokers, or distribution centersAbility to work confidently in a rapidly changing, fast-paced and results-oriented corporate environment where a high degree of flexibility is requiredExperience working with major retailers (e.g., big box, grocery, or ecommerce)Familiarity with carrier liability rules and freight claim processesExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishPreferred Qualifications:Background in logistics and supply chain managementAbility to plan and prioritize workMust be highly organized and able to manage multiple responsibilitiesSoftware skills, including use of Microsoft Office and OracleVerbal and written communication skills are necessary to explain complex and/or confidential information.Working Conditions :Office environmentRequires sitting, operating a computer keyboard, telephone and other office equipment for extended periods of time$25-$30/hourly is the estimated pay range for this role working in Fremont, California office. The final amount will be determined based on qualifications & experience of the candidate relative to the role.
