Multi‑Specialty Account Manager Location: State College, PA, US. Territory: State College and surrounding counties within 40 miles of the city with access to a major airport (including Warren, Huntingdon, Bloomsburg, Bradford). SUMMARY We are seeking a dynamic, results‑driven sales professional with a proven track record to promote our psychiatry portfolio in primary care and neurology settings. The ideal candidate will be a specialty product expert, able to navigate complex market dynamics, drive sales performance, and execute against challenging commercialization objectives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Business Planning & Account Leadership – Use digital tools and data‑based insights to create opportunities, develop strategy and tactics, allocate resources, monitor progress, and adjust direction to maximize sales performance. Selling – Deliver clear, compelling messages to customers, probe needs, handle objections, and close each call with a commitment to action to drive behavior change. Customer Development – Build and maintain productive internal and external relationships based on customer needs and organizational goals, incorporating a “total office” account management approach when applicable. Local Market & Therapeutic Area Expertise – Gather and validate key trends and dynamics, map account linkages, and apply comprehensive therapeutic knowledge to uncover and prioritize unique opportunities. Reimbursement – Stay informed on reimbursement dynamics, anticipate payer access issues (IDNs, Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial), and effectively address them using Lundbeck resources. Pharmaceutical Environment/Compliance – Apply knowledge of the pharmaceutical and regulatory environment, adhere to Lundbeck policies and procedures, and follow FDA regulations regarding product promotion. REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Sciences from an accredited institution. 2–5 years of pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biologics, medical device sales or related healthcare sales experience. High scores on disease and product training exams; annual product knowledge certification. Self‑starter with strong work ethic, tenacity, and outstanding communication skills. Adaptability – embrace change and collaborate in a fast‑paced team environment. Problem‑solving – proven analytical skills to identify solutions and overcome obstacles. Data analysis – strong technical skills using data to develop short‑ and long‑term goals aligned with business objectives. In residence within 40 miles of the territory boundaries. Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record; driving is essential. Compliance with reasonable industry‑standard credentialing requirements for healthcare providers and customer facilities. Physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and move items up to 25 lbs., with reasonable accommodation if necessary. PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS Recent documented success selling to general practitioners and primary care centers. Experience promoting and detailing CNS/neuroscience products. Background working with alliance partners (e.g., co‑promotions). TRAVEL Willingness/ability to travel up to 30‑40% domestically to meet and interact with the customer base and internal personnel, and attend 4–8 conferences or meetings across the United States each year. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Base salary: $108,000 – $125,000. Sales incentive target: $39,000.
