Marina Beach, opening this summer in San Francisco’s Marina District, was created as a place where South Asian cuisine can be experienced in a way that is both thoughtful and approachable. The restaurant brings together vibrant, heritage-driven cooking and a carefully curated natural wine program in a relaxed, welcoming setting.

The concept is shaped by years spent working in kitchens across the country, along with a deep appreciation for the spirit of Parisian bistros, where creativity, hospitality, and community naturally come together.

Named after the iconic Marina Beach in Chennai, India, the restaurant is a tribute to the founder’s family roots and cultural heritage. Today, Marina Beach takes shape as an intimate open-kitchen wine bar by the bay, celebrating craftsmanship, culture, and the joy of gathering around a shared table.

Position Overview

As a Line Cook, you will play a key role in the daily operations of our kitchen, working closely with the Chef to execute service with consistency, precision, and care. From prep and station organization to service and cleanup, you will help ensure every dish reflects the quality and standards of Marina Beach.

This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about cooking, eager to learn, and excited to work with seasonal ingredients inspired by the flavors of Southern Asia. You’ll gain hands-on experience in a collaborative kitchen environment where technique, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement are valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily vegetable, sauce, and protein prep
• Assisting chef during service
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen
• Closing duties and dish support as needed
• Receiving and organizing deliveries
• Following sanitation and food safety standards
• Supporting overall kitchen operations and workflow
