BAR GOA is an upscale Indian gastropub in River North. Goa is a beach town in India known for its party scene and electronic music. Tropical vibes and a truly fun atmosphere with weekend DJ sets make Bar Goa unique. We are hiring a Server Assistant to join our team to provide an exceptional guest experience. Job Duties Deliver food orders from the kitchen to tables rapidly and accurately. Pour water for guests, buss tables, clear plates, and maintain table cleanliness. Communicate food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities such as food allergies. Explain the food to guests as you deliver it. Be knowledgeable about the menu to answer guest questions. Maintain a calm and friendly attitude at all times. Physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Skills & Qualifications Ability to develop positive working relationships with all restaurant personnel. Ability to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and employees. ServSafe and Allergens certification required. Compensation & Hours $9.00 hourly, full-time position.
